BETTER CHOICES FOR THE HOMES WE LIVE IN

THE JOURNEY

Know what happens next.
At every point.

The process moves at the pace the property needs. You can see the next action in your account, ask questions when a decision is unclear, and check the full terms before you accept a quotation.

  1. START WITH YOUR HOME

    Tell us what you know.

Choose the technology you are considering and describe the property. The questions change with your choice, and “I’m not sure” is a useful answer when the technical detail needs checking.

    • Solar panels and a battery can share one enquiry.
    • Heat pumps and air conditioning each have their own route.
    • Add photos, bills or an existing survey now, or later from your account.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUSubmitting saves an enquiry. It does not book a visit or commit you to an installer.

  2. ESTABLISH THE FACTS

Get the assessment your project needs.

We review what you have shared before deciding what needs another check. For a whole-home heat pump, an existing room-by-room heat-loss survey can be reviewed first. An EPC is useful background, but it is not a condition for starting.

    • A new heat-loss survey visit costs £100, shown before payment.
    • Choose a three-day visit window; the team confirms the surveyor and timing.
    • For solar, batteries and air conditioning, a remote review may be enough to begin. Some homes need a site visit.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUYour account shows the assessment status and any next action.

  3. COMPARE THE FULL PROPOSAL

    Hear from suitable installers.

Once the brief has enough technical detail, eligible approved installers who serve your area can submit their own quotations. Each installer chooses the system, scope and price they believe fit the property.

    • Read what is included, excluded and still subject to a site check.
    • See the installer’s verified profile while their business identity stays private before acceptance.
    • Ask questions in the project conversation or request a revised quote.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUA quote is a choice to review, not an obligation to accept.

  4. CHOOSE WITH YOUR EYES OPEN

Accept the terms that work for you.

Review the complete quote, including VAT, warranties, exclusions, cancellation terms, payment stages and how long the price is valid. If something is unclear, ask for a change before accepting.

    • Accept a specific quotation in your account.
    • The chosen supplier’s legal identity and invoice details become available after acceptance.
    • The installer proposes an installation date for you to confirm or change.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUYour accepted quote and messages stay with the project record.

  5. FINISH PROPERLY

Inspect the work, then settle the bill.

After installation, check the work and the handover documents promised in your quote. If anything is missing, report it in the project before you confirm completion.

    • A deposit invoice is possible only if the accepted payment plan includes one, capped at 25% of the total.
    • The final balance, or the full completion-only amount, follows your confirmation of the completed work.
    • Review and print each supplier invoice in your account. Online payment is marked paid only after provider confirmation.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUYour invoices, payment status and project conversation remain together.

THE RIGHT CHECK FOR THE RIGHT TECHNOLOGY

Different projects need different evidence.

A useful quote begins with the details that determine the actual installation. Here is what each route concentrates on.

Booking a new heat-loss visit?

Choose a three-day window before paying £100. We aim to confirm the exact day around 48 hours before the visit and a four-hour arrival window around 24 hours before. Your completed report can be downloaded and shared with other installers, who may still need their own checks.

BEFORE YOU SAY YES

The number at the bottom is only part of the quote.

Two prices can describe different jobs. Open the full terms and compare what each installer has designed and agreed to deliver.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few answers before you start.

Keep the decision yours. Your enquiry, survey, conversations, quotations and invoices stay in your account as the project progresses.

Do I need an EPC or technical drawings to begin?

No. Start with the details you have. An existing EPC, survey, electricity bill or photographs can help, and you can add documents after submitting. A final system design still needs the right professional assessment.

How many quotes will I receive?

There is no fixed number. Invitations depend on the assessment, the technology and approved installers who can serve your postcode. Your account shows quotations as they arrive.

Can I speak to an installer before choosing?

Yes. Use the project conversation to ask questions and request a revised quote. Contact details and outside payment instructions are not shared in quotation messages. The team can read the permanent conversation if help is needed.

What if the work is not finished as agreed?

Report the issue or missing handover item in your account. The final invoice waits while you and the installer discuss the resolution. Confirm completion only after you have checked the work and promised documents.
